Any particular reason why you have it as an "other system" rather than using the in built fx2 support?
And any reason why you are using such an old version of PinballX?
I specifically made it not do that but I don't see why not and I was able to make the change.
The orientation could be an issue though. How do you have your playfield setup and display orientation in windows?

Ive looked into it. This can be caused when Hide Backglass is not set for a table or because PinballX just captures nothing which can happen if a display uses DirectX.
I suspect it is the former.
Please post your log file and GameEx.ini.
Try setting the clones setting to "if different name" turn off the game name filter and re update the list. This is the newer way to get a clean MAME games list in GameEx.
It looks a hell of a lot better too (cosmetics) and the MAME arcade support is also better as well as the MAME (MESS) support.
The main motivation for Evo initially was cosmetics.
If you choose to upgrade, yes, if not, no.
So to answer your question, the answer is no, it will not return. However if you choose to tinker with things and need to upgrade for any reason and use a newer version then yes.
