Now that I have GameEx working PERFECTLY with MAME, I'd like to begin integrating my other roms. Any suggestions on which emulators work best with GameEx? I am not asking which emulator is best--simply which ones work best with GameEx. I know that some choices are obvious such as for Sega games, and Turbo Grafix 16. But what about for NES, SNES, N64, Intellivision (VERY important!), Atari, and PSX, and Dreamcast?

I use FCE Ultra for NES, Kega Fusion for Genesis, Project 64 for N64, and I believe Zsnes for SNES. For gameboy gameboy color, and gba, I use Visual Boy advance.

Snes9xpp (waiting for Snes9x v1.5 official!) all other Snes emus have horrible controller bugs

Nestopia

Kega Fusion of course

umm that's about it I gotta find a good TG16/PCE emu, and get into the Amiga and Atari stuff still.

The working emu's I use are:

NES = Nestopia

SNES= ZSNES

N64 = Project 64

Intellivision = Nostalgia

Atari 2600 = Stella

PSX = epsxe

Dreamcast = Chankast

For TG16 - you should try out MagicEngine. It doesn't get much better than that. :)

Also, I use pSX 1.7 - ePSXe is good too, don't get me wrong, but I feel pSX is easier to use / add.

MagicEngine is the not free one yes?

and PSX.. ain't got space for 600MB per game ;)

but Atari 2600 Rom complete set looks like 6MB. that's a better deal ;)

You're right, MagicEngine is not free. But what's $20 when it's for something that works as good as MagicEngine?

pSX supports its own ISO compression system, so you actually use less than ePSXe per ROM.

But what about for NES, SNES, N64, Intellivision (VERY important!), Atari, and PSX, and Dreamcast?

Here's what I use:

NES = NEStopia

SNES = zsnes

N64 = PJ64

Intellivision = Bliss

Atari 2600 = Stella

Atari 5200 = MESS

Atari 7800 = MESS

Atari Lynx = Handy

Dreamcast = Chankast & DaemonTools with Kazi's Chankast Launch boot program ;)

Hope that helps! :)

the way i have sat GameEx up are the roms i like cant seem to like the idea to have alot of Gig`s for things i dislike and never uses anyway (expect Mame thats the full archive only the CHD are handpicked)

for the Psx the audio takes on many games alot of space tekken without the audio ttracks are only 39 mb tho i prefer them all with audio tracks :P

Amiga = Winuae

Atari 2600 = stella

Atari 5200/7800 = Mess

C64 = Winvice / CCS64

Dos games = DosBox / Scumm

Dreamcast = Chankast

Nintendo64 = Project64

Nintendo GBA = VisualBoyAdvance

Nintendo Snes = zsnes

Phillips G7000 = O2EM

playstation = epsxe / pSX

Sega CD/x32/Mega = Kega

Saturn = SSF

:blink: Am I the only person who DOESN'T use KEGA for Sega ROMS? (I use Gens+)

Maybe I'd convert over to KEGA if I ever learn how to get more video filters to work...

Nope, I use Gens also, but like you, may soon experiment with Kega.
