Metal Slug Games Not Listed

Hi all,

Is there a simple reason why Metal Slug games are not being listed in GameEx (All mame games), but are in MameUI32?

It looks like most other games are listed, and I can play listed games without any issues.

I have updated my game list twice.

Hi skatei!

Are other NEO GEO games listed in the All Games List? If not, I suggest to check the filter options in the Setup Wizard.exe, under MAME settings.

As mentioned the filter settings will play a great part in these being filtered out. Also to guarantee that these roms are not filtered, you can add them to the Don't Filter These ROMS setting found in the Advanced MAME Settings section.

I had already played with the settings you mentioned before I started the thread, but did not add any of the games to that "Do not filter" setting. So I had another play with the advanced settings and updated the list, and that didn't work. Then I added "mslug;" to that "Do not filter" setting and updated the list, and it worked. "mslug" is now in the all and neo-geo lists.

I'd still prefer to not have to explicitly list every game that gets caught in this seemingly invisible filter. I haven't donated yet as I just got GameEx and am trying to set it up. Are there more settings available once GameEx is unlocked? Also, i'm adding my configuration files (Version 11.72). Could you take a look and tell me if there could be something in the configuration blocking "mslug". The only other games listed under Neo-Geo are King of Fighters 2003 and two listings for SNK vs Capcom - SV-Chaos...

You can find the answer to your questions regarding registered version features here. You may need to take a look at the filtering options in Advanced MAME Settings section to see what you have that may be conflicting with another option. You can try removing mslug from your do not filter these games and turn all filter options to no, re-run the update list to see if the games appear. Also make sure that all of your Show XXXX (Vertical, CPS, etc) games options are enabled.

turn off ALL your filters,select that you want clones and then update the list again.I do it this way and have all games showing,if you are using mame 142.u4 and the corresponding rom set you should have 10,539 total games
