Welcome to the forums! As much as we like to help our members, this subject would be better asked in the Hyperspin forums.

...??? I know we're helpful, but I mean c'mon. ;)

Welcome to the GameEx forums! As noted, we cannot lend our expertise to your request as we support GameEx Frontend and HTPC software. You can find some MAME Setup info here on the Hyperspin site. As noted, you would be best served by registering for the Hyperspin forums if you do not have any luck following the instructions at the link provided. Good luck!

I think for what ever reason, he wants to run hyperspin thru GameEx. Why I don'y know. Have seen several in our forums wanting to do this.

So as not to make this topic a complete waste. Since GameEx will run FLV's, could a theme be created using the Hyperspin themes. Draco???????????????

Punctuation can be very useful in both config files and learning to communicate. I recommend a book on it.

First, I think the request was sincere, if not a bit misguided. Let's not turn this into a potential flame war because we love this FE above the rest. Each of us has been given a pass or two for our own posting gaffs here at one time or another.

My take is that he wants to be able to run both but not one through the other. As for porting over themes from one FE to another - Yes, it can be done, but by the time you adapt the theme to the function it isn't going to be quite the same. Besides, why would I want a cartoony joystick on my screen when I will have one on my deck? The spinner selection is nice, but not replicable in GameEx. If it were, then this would be a Hyperspin forum, eh? :P

I don't know that he wants the "Wheel of Fortune" functionality in this FE. Of course, if he does decide to make it happen, can he promise us Pippa Middleton to "turn our letters" for us? If not, then I say stay the course and not imitate!

I Agree, im relatively new on here and i know the difference so true unreal...maybe he didnt realise that hyperspin is a competitor? or i am i just being nieve lol !.

You know ive just re read his post and im wondering does he mean he wants a pinball and assumes that hyperspin is a pinball emulator as he says he uses gameex as a fE ??

I wouldn't want the wheel either. But would look cool to have the images moving around in the theme. Just my take.

Please stay on topic people! This thread has been totally hijacked and we haven't even heard back from the OP yet.

Understood! As this is something that can be asked, it would be better to ask in HyperSpin forums as they can be of more help and since they use HyperSpin and not GameEx. Please try their forums unless someone is willing to create a tutorial just for you on this subject.

I believe that HS does support both 32 and 64-bit flavors of MAME so your response is not entirely accurate. There are some video tutorials sins0729 can access via the HS site if he/she explores from the link provided that show how to install and integrate MAME in HS.

i was thinking he uses mameui32 witch i call mame32 so that what i thought he was using HS dont support ui32 or ui64 because they dont support comand lines or something like that

Actually they do! They just have a GUI built around MAME.

hi fRequEnCy ant mame considered commamdline mame(windows) and mame32 is dos, so that was my confusion i sould of said HS cant run dos version of mame if i not wrong again all i now is that mame32 cant run whit HS because i run into the same problem when tried HS

Edit: I was wrong again sorry you can use mame32 the problem is with the .exe you have to rename it to mame.exe i remember even if i rename it it wouldn't work so it was easier just to use mame instead of mame32 but iam guessing he got it worked out since he hasn't came back

Umm... Run that by me again?
