It's kinda silly that I would even ask this, but...

I mapped my network drive in Vista to get a better transfer rate for big files (it's pushing around 15MB per second, which is more than adequate). However, now when I fire up GameEx, the audio stutters for a second when it plays the intro sound. Is this something that is unique to my machine, or is it something else? I just thought it was a bit unusual so I thought I'd ask.

GameEx seems to have no other issues besides this one small thing (which no one will notice anyway as I leave GameEx running on it almost all the time).

Have you tried connecting to the UNC path instead of the mapped drive? I remember reading in the past where Tom suggests this.

I have experienced similar delays with the mapped drive. Utilizing the UNC may be a little faster normally. One thing to keep in mind are the settings on the machine to which you are mapping regardless. If the power settings are set to where the drives "spin down" after a set time, you will add delay in accessing files on them while the drive is spinning up to speed. Also, do you have indexing enabled? This can also cause some latency in Vista/7 systems.
