ive updated gameex to latest version, have sharkies codec, latest gfx and direct x, framework 4 installed etc... but for the life of me can i get epsxe to work in gameex, if i enable it in the list gameex crashes almost straight away, is it a bug within gameex that it doesnt like espxe? ive tried updating list, deleted cache, altered themes and nothing will stop it crashing, gameex doesnt even report an error in the log, frequency can vouch for that, its really annoying as epsxe was 1 emulator i was looking forward to running in my cab, works 100% outside of gameEx btw. So does anybody else run epsxe ok with gameex or can any body advise what to try or do.

Ian.

EDIT : It seems its the video snaps ( only in psx emulators ) that r causing the problem as ive spend hrs systematically taking out and adding folders to the psx emulator and low and below take out the video snaps and it works I dont know why i checked and i have sharks win7 codec installed etc.... im quite happy to run this emu without video snaps png will do. Consider this issue now resolved....psx works with games but im still having issues with epsxe and ps2 emulator but we'll address those later as im off to work now :)

Thanks for all the help advise and guidance.

1,000,000 respect points to you all.

Cause epsxe SUCKS.most likely has something to do with a plugin.(which is the main reason epsxe sucks).I would try using a different video plugin.Actually I would just switch to pSX,but that choice is up to you :)

hi mesk, have tried different video plugin tono avail...r u using psx and does it work ok with gameex?

pSX works wonderfully with GameEX.pSX is pretty much a ps1 in software form.I have never had a issue with pSX.

Adultery will also back me up on pSX's awsomeness :)

Ahh mesk you know me too well!

I love pSX, it's the only self contained PSX emulator that I'm aware of, and it runs almost everything at full speed. Control mapping is also great, and rumble support is there.

It's really super easy to set up too, if you need any help we're on that.

ePSXe is just too complicated, and I just don't like the way you have to call on Jesus everytime you add a game to your library. :)

There are some here who swear by ePSXe, I've just never been one of them. Honestly when it was the only option I never cared for it, and once the first pSX revision came out I jumped on board and haven't had a single regret.

Have installed psx and it seems to run slightly jirky but not much, also cant get dead or alive to work, but seems ok for most other stuff, but if it works ok in gameex i`ll be happy lol, Maybe just need to look at the options to config it, but in saying that WHAT options lol !

Jerky? Can you explain? Like the sound stutters?

OK a couple things I would try:

What version of Direct-X are you using (go to a command prompt and type dxdiag.exe), and what is the make and model of your video card?

.:EDIT:. Damn, everyone's up early today! ;)
