Random Input Delay on MAME via GameEx

Hey Folks,

Currently wrestling with an issue on GameEx and MAME.

If I run MAME by itself or MAMEUI, the games behave fine (.139 and .142).

If I run them through GameEx, randomly, there will be a 10+ second delay in the inputs (as if they are being queued up) which is released all at once as one fast motion as it unloads the buffer. This happens until I tab out of MAME (which also causes a buffer unload).

I can only assume it has something to do with GameEx's key intercept feature.

How do I fix this? Is there an option to turn the interception off? The input lag is driving me nuts.

Its most likely a resources issue then any kind of conflict.

Something I noticed, after scrounging through my GameEx Config. If Triple Buffering is enabled, MAME will input lag when launched from GameEx. Outside of it, it's fine.

With Triple Buffering disabled, GameEx (so far) is behaving as normal.

Admittedly I'm a little skeptical of it being resource related? Just because this rig is a 2.83ghz Core2Quad clocked to 3.74, 4 Gigs of high end ram, WD Caviar Black HDD's, and a Radeon 4870 1GB.

Maybe something to do with Triple Buffering?

Also, I'm convinced, after screwing around with HS, MaLa, etc, that everything sans GameEx sucks. Just bought a GameEx license for this year. When it comes to functionality, while the config may still be a little messy, GameEx blows the other options out of the water. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the compliments and feedback. It could be triple buffer but weird its ok outside of GameEx. Triple Buffer has been causing issues since I started on this mission. It always used to be sound related. I guess its input now too.
