  1. Log Attached. Something I noticed, after scrounging through my GameEx Config. If Triple Buffering is enabled, MAME will input lag when launched from GameEx. Outside of it, it's fine. With Triple Buffering disabled, GameEx (so far) is behaving as normal. Admittedly I'm a little skeptical of it being resource related? Just because this rig is a 2.83ghz Core2Quad clocked to 3.74, 4 Gigs of high end ram, WD Caviar Black HDD's, and a Radeon 4870 1GB. Maybe something to do with Triple Buffering? Also, I'm convinced, after screwing around with HS, MaLa, etc, that everything sans GameEx sucks. Just bought a GameEx license for this year. When it comes to functionality, while the config may still be a little messy, GameEx blows the other options out of the water. Keep up the good work. log.txt
  2. Hey Folks, Currently wrestling with an issue on GameEx and MAME. If I run MAME by itself or MAMEUI, the games behave fine (.139 and .142). If I run them through GameEx, randomly, there will be a 10+ second delay in the inputs (as if they are being queued up) which is released all at once as one fast motion as it unloads the buffer. This happens until I tab out of MAME (which also causes a buffer unload). I can only assume it has something to do with GameEx's key intercept feature. How do I fix this? Is there an option to turn the interception off? The input lag is driving me nuts.
  3. I'll throw in my 2 cents (US!) for what it's worth. I'm a PCB-Level PC/Mac Desktop/Laptop/Server/Etc repair tech. Microscope soldering, BGA Component reflow/reball/replace, trace repair, etc. Ontop of the 8+ Years now in IT. Just to give you an idea of where I'm coming from. With the various manufacturing issues that nVidia has had (7800/7900 GPU's, MCP67, MCP73, 61xx Chipset, etc) along with my own personal experience in dealing with a high volume of product from both GPU/Chipset makers.. I wouldn't touch an nVidia. I in no way, shape, or form trust the engineers they hire to design these parts. Nevermind their internal fab shop. Ugh. While AMD(ATI) may have the occasional driver issue, atleast I'm not worried about my part dying.
  4. Yeah, should be good to mark this one fixed. Admittedly I'm pretty surprised that everything else was working fine except GameEx. Then I remembered that MameWah was doing a similar thing. Radeon drivers do some odd stuff, let me tell you.
  5. Alright. Now it gets stranger. Used a ATI Driver Cleaner to rip out Catalyst 11.3, which was put in place via upgrade over 11.2. Reinstalled 11.3. Restarted. Now GameEx works. Weird. :| When in doubt, recheck, I suppose.
  6. Hey All. I've been banging my head on GameEx trying to get it to run after deciding the Config Monster that is HyperSpin was not for me. This is all in prep for an upcoming cab build. I'm no newbie to this stuff, but this one particular issue is escaping me. Long story short? I launch GameEx, and it hangs on the Nag screen. I can hear the ambiance mp3 playing in the background, and the Logfile seems to think everything is ok, no errors on part of the graphics. If I click the mouse, it goes to a black screen. I'll attach the log and configfile, but I'm not sure how it'll help. System Stats: Win7 x64 Ult SP1, All Updates Installed ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB (Catalyst 11.3, Latest Version) Gigabyte EP45-UD3L ICH10-Based Mobo Intel Core2Quad 2.83ghz It's not drivers or hardware, I can see that much. log.txt GameEx.txt
