Yeah, my son pointed that out to me about the SNES.. will probably post a correction to that soon along with additions of U64 and AAE.

EDIT - AAE seems to be lacking in good, clean logos to work with. IF you can come up with something from a screen capture that might be useable that would be awesome.

The next theme will be less arcade or game oriented. It will be a much simpler theme visually than "Sins of a Solar Empire" in that it will not have so many visual elements at play across the screen. It will be a V4 theme using some Chinese elements (wood, characters) with some simple modern flourishes (brushed metal framing) and will be an homage to the great Bruce Lee Kung-Fu fighting flick "Enter the Dragon." Since my handle is also a reference to dragons, I thought it fitting as my last theme (for a while at least).

.:.EDIT - Here is a "quick" mock-up of the theme. Going from Left to Right, Top to Bottom; LT Frame Logos, RT List Menu/ROM descriptions, LB FrameSnaps/Vid Snaps, RB Weather Icon, Date & Time, RSS scroll.

How the heck did I miss this mock up? Buried under the icon pile is another jewel!

I really like the simplicity of this one. Minimal and discreet is key on a lot of people's rigs. I think it would be cool if you put the Chinese text under the name of the page/emu. That theme makes me think of MK!

I really lolve that brushed steel look too! You thinking of adding anything different in this one? Try out some new techniques?

Really appreciate the feedback! The yin-yang symbols (unless you figured it out already) will be the menu up/down buttons. The normal media and volume buttons in upper-right of screen (not shown) will appear as if engraved into the wood. Not sure about chinese text under the emu/page name. Not ruling it out, but not sure how I would translate it into a graphic. BTW, do you know what the text reads in the right?

@ Draco is there a way I can make a few of these logo's a little bigger? some of them like adult, vertical, horizontal and a few others are really small.maybe it is the theme I use (blueglass) that tends to make the images look smaller.

@Mesk - thanks! They look great in the captures! I will continue to look for another copy of AAE. May see if Circo has a larger image that scales without so much pixelation.

Oh Draco just wanted to throw this one up,maybe you can use it because I noticed it wasnt in the packs :)

I think I can find some time to throw something together. While these packs were the most comprehensive I had created, I know that there are more obscure systems that did not make the packs. As for the new theme, it is actually proceeding quicker than anticipated. I created an .xcf (GIMP's version of the PhotoShop .psd file) so it should help me to crank out the foreground and background files. What will be surprising to most is that there will be far fewer of these files (those who want all the foregrounds for specific systems, menus, etc, will just have to create them starting with the .xcf/.psd files provided - imagine that!).B)

Ohhhh I love me a theme with a PDF in it! ;)

This could be fun, no? I'm already imagining the possibilities!

Here is one actually Draco along your logo pack likeness, but needs some of your Gimp touch done too it :)

@Krakerman - MS-DOS and DOSBox logos are already created (No more time for alternative logos or re-dos here unless it its to correct for putting the wrong console with a logo). With LOGO PACK #3 I did include a Background.psd and .xcf files so that users can get started and create their own logos. Mastering the reflection and layer masks has a bit of a learning curve, but hey! Why can't we all become Photoshop/GIMP Jedi Masters!;)

Firing up Gimp now and will give it a go and see what I can do with alternate logo's. Been thinking of creating themes as well might give it a go too. Thanks (Obi-Wan) I mean Draco. :D

Update: @Draco when I start Gimp the main window is always positioned like a 1/2" down from the top of my screen. I stretch the window full screen and save the position of the window, but when I close Gimp and re-open it it is back to 1/2" down again. How do I save it so everytime I open Gimp it's at full screen?

I have the same issue. Just the way it is so, unless working on a large image, usually size & drag my window where I want it or hit the window/fullscreen toggle as needed.

@Draco i just gotta say i am blown away by your logo packs. They are amazing i loive the way they reflect and have both console logos & names. All i can say is thank you for all your hard work. i did see you made a pc logo for one of our fellow gameexers here in this thread. Now i dont wanna get anything started or anything but i was really hoping you could do the same for me & maybe add the "games for windows" text. it took a long time for me to pick out the perfect HTPC case for my entertainment center and would awesome if i could show it off in gameex. also im throwin in a .png of Sega SG-1000 in case you would like to add it to the pack as well. Thanx again

p.s. ill post some pic of your logos being used in my setup soon as i figure out how to take snaps in gameex

Thanks for the kudos! Here is your HTPC and the SG-1000. I appreciate the feedback and if you have any more logos and systems images you can provide for me that were not included already in the Logo Packs, please post them here! My latest theme is getting closer to completion and, in addition to the Logo Packs provided separately, additions will be included in the Logos for the theme,.
