hi Tom and all Members,

i have some wishes and found Bugs?!

- is Antialiasing enabled then an Cabinet3D is always showing in the Background when i chance´between the screens. it used the cabinet3d from the last selected game it has an Cabinet3D

- i used LCDSmartie with GameEx.dll Plugin: in Demo/Attract Mode is only changing the Name of the Game.. Genre and Manufactur is the last from the selected Game bevor start Attract Mode.

- i wish to used the LED/LCD Plugin from the Plugin-Manager, but LCDSmartie Display Driver doesnt work with this Plugin.. can you change the Plugin to use this driver from LCDSmartie or LCDHype?

- can i make an new Option that after Exing an Mame Game that showing the Gamelist not the Gameinformation? I will used the Information only for the start not for the end of an game?!

- i have the LED/LCD Plugin enabled for the text to speech... sometimes if i switch fast between the Gamelist and hold on an Game then his Name of the Game would speak 3 or 4 times or more..

- I have downloaded cabinet3d. Video Snap is waiting for loading cabinet3d. Some cabinets3d loads slow and the screen is empty for an long time. Can you make that the video Snap Is First loading and showing an than loads the cabinet3d?

- can i change the last line in attract bezel? (white line.. some entry is perfect.. most is unknown).. What mean this entry. Can i change or fix this? Can i change the Font?

- The mame attract mode used only few of my roms,, Not all.. why?

- Can you implement symbols/icons for genres, Numbers of Players, horizontal/Vertical games? I used the arcade Theme. The Place is Limited. Symbols are better for this theme..

Rene - Welcome to the Forum! I will attempt to answer some of the issues you may be encountering. Items showing in red will be for Tom or the more experienced GameEx Admins and Gurus to address if possible. Blue are my answers but I am sure if someone knows a better answer, I can count on them to counter my response or add to them!

For these items I will ask that you provide copies of your gameex.ini file (you will need to save as a text (.txt) file to upload to attach in the post as the IPBoard does not allow for .ini files due to security) and your log.txt file. That way we can see what settings you are using. Also may be good to know a bit more about your PC that you are using (Windows version, 32 or 64-bit, amount of RAM, video card make/model and GPU RAM). We may be able to determine some tweaks that will speed things up a little

Not sure about this one - perhaps Tom or one of the Admins or other GameEx Gurus will have an answer but seems to me that this may be an enhancement request.

This is working as designed - likely an enhancement request.

This sounds clearly like a settings issue. Go into the Advanced Configuration under Attract/Screensaver. Places to look at for this would be "Only Favorites" Select Yes or No and "Other Emulators" Select Yes or No.

You are likely going to be limited by the theme on this one. Also an enhancement request.

hi,

i have attached an report of my pc and the gameex.ini

attract mode is only enabled for mame games. favorites is disabled other emus is disabled i have around 750 games but it used only betwen 50 to 100 games. some games repeat much more..

i used gameex in compatibility mode:xp sp3 to write lcd information to wow6432node in the registry. lcdsmartie under win7 x64 read from this

i used the pc with an JammASD v2 on my Cabinet with an Hantarex 25" Monitor 15khz MTC 9110.

here is an Bezel that show "(unknown)".. what mean this entry and how can i change this for these and other games?

And since some releases are canceled to start in Mame-Screen. I'm using an Acade Cabinet and i wish to start GameEx in Mame Screen. That is now not possible. Please re-integrate this option

i have buy an licence and i'm not funny without this option and bugs..

Pretty sure that's the emulation status of that game, and the stars are like an overall rating representation. Also pretty sure it's updated when you update either info.dat or history.dat.

You can edit the data in that file, but you can't edit the font or anything. GameEx handles the display elements internally AFAIK.

Since a lot of time has passed since March, we will need for you to provide us with your latest gameex.ini file and, if you are using custom menus, your custommenu.ini file as well. Thanks much!

i use gameextender and cpwizard togheter on an 2nd screen.. in gameex is the extender in front, on start an mame game comes cpwizard in front. in attract mode i can't find an event like "run on exit attract mode".. could you please ask tom to set this wish on the to-do list?

Id just like to say that these are not bugs or support requests but software development/application enhancments and changes. I am sorry your issues are not resolved but it takes a lot of time and effort to develop software and GameEx does not generate enough income to warrant hiring other programmers.

I singulararily work like a crazy person on GameEx but I just cant address every issue quickly. Although you were right to raise these issue again as a reminder to me.
