Just started getting this issue after upgrading my video card.

What's happening is when I open GameEX it will let me hit up, down and even select a few times but then my ipac4 will drop connection. Then if I close out of GameEX and unplug the ipac4 and plug it back in then it will start working again. It will work in notepad and also the winpac program without losing connection. The only thing that will get it to work is if I load the gameex.default.ini file. It is also working on my main computer that I have GameEX loaded on.

After trying to get it to work I then did a full uninstall of GameEX and reloaded it from scratch. Still having the issue after doing that. Also went through and tryed changing settings here and there to see if I could find out if there is a feature that is causing the issue. I cannot figure this out and getting frustrated so thought I would ask you guys for help.

I searched around the boards and couldn't find any solutions.

Hello!

Please post both your current GameEx.ini and your GameEx.Default.ini in a zip file so we can have a look see.

**Spoke too soon. It is still losing connection**

I found out why it was losing connection. I was trying out mamepp.exe to see what difference it made. Well after changing it back to mame.exe now it's working fine.

I think I've tried almost everything now. The default ini file is losing connection also. The only thing I can think of now is the video card that I put in. I was running it on the on-board video card but that was making some games lag. Once I put the Gigabyte GV-3D1-XL dual 6600 card in then that's when the problem started. I think I will have to try a new card or try just running on the on-board for now to see if that resolves the issue.

@evenstewy - glad you were able to get this issue resolved. Upon reading the full thread, I am wondering if there might not have been a conflict with the video card driver and the ipac.

I use an ipac-2 in my cab and never come across this problem, but i`ll bear it in mind just in case.
