Hi.

I wonder if there is a way to disable the mouse in Virtual NES.

Every time you go fullscreen (or load a new game), a big (depends on the resolution), mouse pointer shows up.

So, anyway to disable it?

Thanks.

I thought Virtual NES was an online emulator written in JAVA? Is that the emulator you are referring to or could you link me to the one you mean so I can test?

there is VIRTUANES

and there is also VIRTUAL NES

virtual nes doesnt sound very fun,it seems that someone must have actual nes carts in their possession to play the games online....

might be better off with mess\clientservermess....

He's talking about VirtuaNES. This is the reason I made the switch to NEStopia instead. The short answer is no, not that I'm aware of.

Ahhhhh ok. That was what I thought. It that case, as mentioned, no unfortunately. It autohides after no movement of the mouse but still shows long enough on the screen. Only solution would be to create a script to move the cursor off screen if you continued to use this emulator. But it is an old emulator and Nestopia is so much better and is still being updated. It's the most suggested emulator to use by us here at the forums and by emulation sites.

Yes, I meaned VirtuaNES :) I wrote that at first but changed my mind after I thought I got "Virtua" from Virtua Tennis.

So, you guys suggest me to change emulator to Nestopia?

Ok, I will do that :)

Now I have a problem to find a good Sms emulator that plays in 256x240.

I have tried Mekaw, but I have problems to config the controllers

I have tried Freezesms, Denga, Emukon and so on, but there is always something that isn´t good.

Which Sms do you use and what do you think about it?

I'll tell ya first hand that I used VirtuaNES for a couple three years and have completely forgotten about it once I snagged NESTopia! I'm super pleased with it! :)

I use KEGA Fusion for this but I run a much higher rez. It supports custom resolutions though so I'm sure it will work for you. Try it out!

It's also great for Genesis, Game Gear, 32x, and SEGA CD. It's really well done IMHO.

I used NEStopia like more than 10 years ago, so the emulator have changed since then, I hope :) Before VirtuaNES I used Jnes. Both are good but VirtuaNES is a bit better. Can handle more homebrew/hacked games and have a more stable frame update.

Will switch over to the arcade monitor now and try it out.

Nice talking :)

EDIT: Sorry, it was Nesticle I used with the bleeding hand :P So will be the first time me using NEStopia. wish me good luck :P

I have tried it now.NEStopia works kinda good.I don´t find vsync and the mousepinter shows in couple of seconds before it vanish.

I will see. maybe I will switch back to VirtuaNes and build a switch on the mouse cable that turn the mouse on and off. Everytinh else in Gameex will be controlled just by joysticks and buttons, so no mouse needed as long as I use the arcade to play on.

Kenga Fusuin have just the resolution 320x240, so the picture will be smaller and will have bigger boarders on the sides. I think I can manipulate the reolution in the config file and set it to 256x240 and it will be that even if it says 320x240. But I have problems with the controllers. I can map my keys, but when I start a game, the game doesn´t recognize the buttons.

AAahh. I will go and sleep now. I need that.

I have tried Nestopia and the unofficial one, but can´t find any sync options. I will continue to use VirtuaNES, it works best for me now. I will do a request about disable the mouse in fullscreen and see what´s happening.

The Sms emulator still remains. Maybe I can find a older version or something. I know I have played sms emulator before on the arcade machine with good result, so it is out there somewhere.

Sync options can be found by clicking Options >>> Timing in nestopia. If you wish you use VirtuaNES still then may want to try using Stu's Cursor Hider plugin included with GameEx. I've never used it but maybe what you're after.
