SM - I had a similar problem after a recent update - have you deleted your cached files (files with cache in the file name or extension) under the \gameex\data path? Try this and see if that improves your performance. If not, please post a copy of your log file imediately after the crash and gameex.ini file so we can have a look at it.

Previous versions are not archived. Archiving would keep from future development. Please give as much detail as possible and Tom will fix it fairly quickly. If anything maybe a system restore will hold you over until then.

I noticed some differences between the files you provided and likely this is a result of you trying to diagnose your problems with the crashes. In the first you were running BlueEx 800 x 600 theme, then Default-Default in the second. While I see no problem there, I did notice that in the first your "Display is running at: 1024x768 32bit color, 75hz" while in the second "Display is running at: 1024x768 32bit color, 85hz". Are you tinkering with your video adapter settings as well?

Keep in mind that it is easier for us to help diagnose the issue if you keep the settings consistant with where you encountered the problem and make changes only as suggested to themes, screen res, etc. Much easier to shoot a stationary target!

[ RESOLVED ]

Thanks to all who offered advise, have found the problem after draco mentioned about the gfx i opened up cab and found that the cooling for for the gfx card was not working so obviusly was over heating and crashing, which is why i got it at different times, have installed a 125meg ati card and is now running sweet( over an hour so far! ).

Many thanks.

Glad you found a resolution and took care of that overheating problem before it could cause any collateral damage!

You are incorrect it was not a problem with your hardware it was a serious bug in the latest version of GameEx ;) lol. Ive been doing this too long don't you think. ;)

Tom, Im not going to disagree with what yours saying its just what i did solved my problem or are you saying it was a bug with certain gfx cards?

All programmer jokes are sad in a way. ;)

I was IMing with my wife and I said "that bytes!" She then pointed out I spelled it wrong. That's the moment I realized I was the only one laughing at my jokes. ;)
