Banned Members (or those that should be)

All - I have been checking through some of the members that appear on, of all things, the Members with Birthdays. In doing so, there are quite a few with ICQ numbers posted, along with some questionable email addresses and websites listed. Often times, the show as Newbies with 0 posts. As I began to dig a little deeper, I have uncovered quite a few that are actually spammers at best just by "Googling" their email addresses and ICQ numbers.

Please, be cautious and do not click on their links for their websites, etc, without doing some preliminary research first. I am not one that is very paranoid (even though I know that everyone is out to get me ), but as with anything over the Internet, it is better to be cautious now than scrambling to reinstall your OS and trying to recover the stuff we always back-up on a regular basis, right?

I know that Tom and the Admins do their best to catch them ASAP and ban their entries. We just need to do our part and practice "safe surfing" to ensure we are not impacted (Note to self: submit patent for modem condoms).

If Tom wants to temp admin me, I could remove some of these myself. I generally only report them as spam posts come up. I noticed you've got quite a list going already!

I don't mind following links to check users out. I do virus repair as a side job and I enjoy the challange personally!

Not a problem and glad to help! It would be nice if we can delete or suppress the contact links off of their profiles so that a: They are not getting the traffic counts or worse by those accessing their spam sites so that curious users are further protected from their own actions or that the individual continues to profit from their contact via GameEx.

I did edit the profile on the last couple users. I can just remove them completely. If there are anyothers just report them and Ill go in and remove them.
