Well, I am venturing into the ethernet over powerline arena for use with my Xbox 360. Has anyone tried this as of yet? I was consering wireless but the speeds seem to be much better and being able to take to any room in the house without sacrificing throughput due to signal loss seems more viable (and, comparable in price to buying a wireless adapter). I know this is not an Xbox 360 forum, but was thinking this may be a viable option for those who have trouble getting a reliable wireless signal to their cab or HTPC.

I've ordered a pair of the Netgear adapters to give a go. My only major concern is that you cannot put a surge supressor between the adapter and outlet (at least as far as I am aware). Living in the Lightning Capital of the World (Florida) is a bit of concern.
