20th December, 2010 - GameEx 11.46

More GameBase enhancements. GameEx will automatically find and fix paths. Thanks to the oldsk00l and sidplay2 winamp plugins Gameex can now play Amiga and C64 music within the front end if available for a game. This release also fixes a crash and memory leak issue with visulalizations and fixes game music not playing if the jukebox has been accessed.

Thanks as always Tom! I am still really digging the weather icon and the scrolling text. It's cool that I can add instructions on features on the start page and system information on the emulator pages. My cab makes me smile every time I walk past it! Maybe someday I'll spend some time actually playing it! Haha! :)

Aww... My weather icon was working fine, but after this update it seems to have disappeared. :(

Have you tried updating the weather app again? Made any changes to your theme that might have removed the Weather icon location?

No changes on my end. All I did today was run the updater. It was there before and gone after. I even tried restarting GameEx.

Are you sure your settings didn't get overwritten (as they sometimes do during an update) and it got disabled?

Lost mine too, checked and the setting were gone. Reset city and I was good to go. I do see a problem though. Alot of the virus programs including mine, like to clear cookies. (Even when you ask it not to) Would like to see GameEx write the settngs to the GmeEx ini file so that they are always available.

Mine actually came back by itself. I was wondering if GameEx can't find the weather server, does it just not display anything? Maybe that's what happened to me? I checked while it wasn't working and all my settings were still correct.

Tom does have it save to the GameEx.ini file. You can find the settings under the [Weather] Section with the keys Location, Code, Centigrade, & Enabled.

I'm not sure how that works but before I actually set a location I had a set temperature. Are you guys sure you're checking your settings in the new location and not in the html weather app as these are different apps and therefore have different setting locations? Those settings are stated here.

Yes. There's a standalone app in the GameEx start menu folder. ;)
