Now ALL modules can have a custom layout and background. Including MAME list select and Emulator system selection.

Video backgrounds although implemented in the theme editor were not working. This is now fixed.

New scroller object in the theme editor. Can have custom text or a news feed for each

module or system.

New weather object in the theme editor. See below.

<br>

<b><u>Weather ICON</u></b>

<br>

New weather icon in GameEx which displays the current conditions and temperature. You can select your location by using the weather application, also

accessible from the setup wizard. Its enabled by default but can be turned off.

<b><u>Other fixes and enhancements</u></b>

<br>

Fixes issue where you could not clear the playlist when Jukebox set to play randomly on queue end. <br>

New screen rotation available - Flip Y

This update appears to have broken my install.

After the system updated itself this evening, it started loading the splash screen for a few seconds and then crashing and presenting me with the following information.

I'm using unedited, default themes and have tried a few of them with no success. Prior to this, my machine had seemed to lock up with something blocking me from activating any controls on the screen. I tried a reinstall, disabling the title font in configuration, and all the different modes. Game Launcher mode worked, but it isn't going to do the job when a single left-stick can kill it.

Also, I occasionally appear to get some cryptographic error on startup. I didn't have this problem yesterday. I'll copy that log next time it happens and add it.

When I first installed it, it worked, then as I started to tweak my theme it didn't. I then tried a clean reinstall and loaded the default theme which worked but as soon as I created another theme from the default one I got the error:

On my first attempt I found it weird that the small music square and visualization window reappeared from behind one of my images while transitioning. I had not seen it unless I used a v3 theme. I'm using the latest 10.11 ATI drivers.

Edit: If I took out the last few lines of the theme config file: [Weather]and Scroller= instances, it loads up ok.

Also I've noticed that the music albumart/ambience square and visualization only shows up in the "Image 2" position if there is no video snap present but will show when a picture snap is there. When a game image/video is in fullscreen background view, it appears. As a regular thumbnail or list view, it will not appear at all.

I'm sure Tom will have this fixed soon so probably best to wait for an update rather than attempt to fix it manually.

Thanks Tom! Now I have to redo my theme to accomodate al the nifty add-ons! One quick question - where can we input what we want to appear in the scroller?

The album/visualization showing up is actually meant to be an enhancment for v4 themes in this release. Im guessing you dont like it though!?

Ahh got my shiny new super fast DSL upgrade today so I'm jumping on this new update, Thanks Tom!

Have we ironed out issues with web apps yet or am I still not gonna be able to use the new You Tube and weather features?

Thanks for the fix, my cab works just fine now.

The weather icon is actually pretty nice, I like it. It might be nice to have an option to have it on the overlay in attract mode, if that's possible at all.

Arrgghhh - downloaded the update today (I think I went from 11.41 to current), and now my GameEx lags again (I had a major lagging problem previously, and it took me a long time changing different settings (and a RAM upgrade) to get it right.)

I've disabled the weather option, but what else is new that could be chewing up additional resources? Can I undo the update??

Post your gameex.ini and log and Ill see if I can see anything.

I cant think of anything else that has changed that would cause it.
