Tom Speirs Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Poll: What do you primarily run GameEx on? Quote
Draco1962 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Currently - Desktop PCFuture - HTPC, Arcade Cab Quote
fRequEnCy Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Voted for HTPC since that's the newest method used to run GameEx. I would run GameEx on my cab but that's in storage (never been used). I don't even play games. What a waste. LOL. Quote
celly Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Arcade cab. And coming soon to a living room near me, bartop (W.I.P.). Quote
Draco1962 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Driving to NM to boost an unused cab... hate to see waste! Quote
fRequEnCy Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Driving to NM to boost an unused cab... hate to see waste! LOL. Come on by. It's brand spanking new. Never been used. Just don't have the room for it where I'm at right now. Quote
ehuonder Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I 'develop' (graphics/themes/etc.) and test on my desktop, and then copy it over to arcade cabinet for real use! Quote
IMBerzerk Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Because of GameEx, my main cabinet (BerZerk) has become a living game museum of sorts, while the others are just MAMEed. Quote
simbamame Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 i run on 2 machines 1 with windows 7 cos i have net access and use that for testing and also 1 in a cabinet running windows xp but may change to win7 as im having problems getting some emulators to run under winxp but work OK with the win7. It started out just as mame and was running a different front end ( on the cab )then i stumbled via utube GameEx and now my cabinet is like a full blown games arcade / retro gaming, with 10s of emulators installed ( still having a few problems ) thanks to the excellence of GameEx.SM Quote
Kustom Kid Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I'm running on a HTPC. Having one box for everything entertainment is pretty fantastic. The integration into WMC is practically seamless and way more than anyone could ask for. I posted a video in the off topic section, but i need to update it as I've switched to Win7 and cleaned up the UI a bit. Quote
Draco1962 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I think you will like Win 7 better - I know that I do, although if I build the cab that I have been threatening to do, I will probably go with XP due to the PC that I will be using. It will be dedicated to arcade and pinball only so that will be fine. I will save the console and handheld emulation (along with arcade and pinball) for the HTPC. Quote
Pojosama Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I have it currently running on an all in one Sony vaio (main cab W.I.P.) and a Acer Aspire netbook (minicade W.I.P.) Great software Quote
jadflat Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Running it on my arcade cab only at the moment, been thinking of putting it on my htpc sometime soon though. Currently have mame and a handful of consoles set up, will add more one day... Quote
davidj1987 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I have it installed on my main computer and HTPC. Mainly on my main computer just tinker so if I bork anything up I am not SOL on my HTPC. Got a pretty nice system under my TV given the low profile. Quote
slavearm Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I do testing on the desktop and then move to the Cab. Here is the new brains of my beast mode cabinet. Quote
