I'm pretty new to this, but recently my GameEx menu page gets static like flashes across it. It goes away when I enter a game, so it isn't too big of a deal, but I'd like to get rid of it. I have tried 2 different monitors and 1 tv (that all work fine) with no luck. It's only in GameEx on the menu.

Any suggestions? I'd rather not reinstall because of the re-setup required...

Thanks!

Post a log. I can't see why this would be a GameEx thing unless your setup doesn't like the video mode for some reason. Perhaps you could try updating your video drivers. I doubt it's a lose cable if MAME/other stuff works, but that wouldn't hurt to check either.

Could the "static" be the please wait animation or other graphics showing when they shouldnt? Otherwise it does not sound like a GameEx issue. Perhaps a screen shot would help me identify the issue?

I know that i have seen where an application loading will show very briefly and could potentially create a flicker. I haven't noticed anything in the way of a flash across the entirety of the screen as a result of something loading.

Well a screen shot didn't capture the issue. I reinstalled drivers and fiddled with the cables to no avail. I'm going to keep monkeying... thanks for the suggestions everyone.
