Hi guys - would be interested to get some thoughts on kep mapping in GameEx.

I'm using it in a MAME cab - fairly standard 2 player 6-button layout, with joysticks and a coin and start button for each player, as well as an escape button.

Thinking the easiest option for the player is to have the Player 1 A&B buttons as the 'Select' and 'Back' buttons for the GameEx navigation - but wondering whether this causes any other problems that I haven't considered? I'm working on the basis that once you're actually playing a game, when A&B obviously become critical to fire, jump or whatever, it won't matter what they're mapped for in GameEx because they effectively become 'in-play' and therefore adopt their MAME settings?

Is that thinking correct? (hoping I explained it properly!).
