Atari 8-bit Emulation

Want to incorporate atari 800 emulation in GameEx. What emulator is the one most of the gameex users using and what is the command line that works best.

I believe Gemulator and Atari++ are supported. Gemulator emulates Atari 8-bit, ST, and MAC. Atari ++ the 8-bits. Not sure of the command lines though as I have not set any up as of yet.

Altirra works well for me when emulating the 8-bit home computers in GameEx.

All the emulators suggested are supported. There are a few others. MESS is another that is suggested. It really depends on features and compatibility. I'd personally try a few of them to see what suites your needs. I usually look at emulator sites to see what the emulation community suggests. When you choose one then come back and we'll try to sort out how to run it within GameEx. This is one system I haven't tested for myself yet so don't have any support past that. I'll have to look into this system and add to my suggested emulators list.

I tried them all and I prefer Altirra as it looks best on my Giant Vizio

Tried a number of them. Atari 800 plus and Altira did the best. In Altira I couldn't set keys to the ones I wanted outside of GameEx but had more options then Atari 800 Plus. Couldn't get either to work in GaMEx.
