I really want to buy the full version but have a quick question first, is it

possible to create a category or menu button or something, to where I could

have lets say, all mario games be a category, and have it display from multiple

systems. So you could have a category that would display like this for example

Super mario brother

super mario 2

super mario 3

Super mario world

Super mario 64

All on one page.

Basically can you make custom categories or menu buttons that bring to a list like that.

and how simple is it?

There is a search feature that would do what you want, but so far as having them show on a page without searching, I don't think that would be possible.

If you make seperate emulators for each game and group them you could do it, but that seems a bit tedious to me. Possible, yes.

It may be possible to get *some* of the desired results by setting up emulators through the Advanced Configuration app with the specific games in the paths in conjunction with Custom Menus. It would take some playing about but that may be a viable option. Would probably be best to have those games in separate paths for ROMs, Snaps, TItles, etc. for each to further isolate them from the general paths for the other games. This would get cumbersome real quick if you wanted to do it for much more than one genre.

To be honest, I can't think of a single frontend that would support that level of filtering and retain it as a menu item. It sounds more like a "play list" functionality one would find in WinAmp, WMP, or iTunes. Would it be possible to program GameEx to allow for the creation of playlists in addition to its current functionality?

If it can have a favorites section with games from multiple systems, and a search feature that displays games

from multiple systems, what would be the problem with creating a playlist feature?.. if its not currently

possible.. seems like a great Idea for future versions of gameex.. zelda games all in one easy to find spot..

sonic in another. it would be a very nice feature
