Good question. I'm using an old build since I never really used it, I just added it to have it.

Anyone else still use this feature?

I check it everytime I load up gameex to see if somebody is waiting to play with somebody. I've never been able to play a game with it though (not because we couldn't connect, but because nobody was requesting netplay). Maybe I have mine setup wrong and there are other people waiting that I just don't see. It would be great if one of these times I load it up I could see SOMEBODY was waiting, then I'd know I could at least participate. I'd really like to see this functionality take a broader appeal amongst our users. What would be really nice is if we could get a decent population of people playing that might prompt our resident programming gurus to develop something like an onscreen chat so we could discuss other games to play.

TBH I think it may be dead. I played a few times early on, but it was somewhat difficult to get a good sync and it was a bit laggy most of the time.

This feature really needs to be modified to use the MAMEHub server as I think there would be more people. The only issue is the client is written in Java. It would be nice to get a whole new client written in .NET.
