I came across a good visual diagram that shows the various Screen Resolutions and their Aspect Ratios. This may be helpful for others when designing a theme, especially when it comes to downscaling to fit another resolution while trying to avoid distortions of the theme's graphics.

If you create a theme, say 800 x 600, you can enlarge or shrink within the range (just follow the color code) with no distortion.
