I am using MESS as my emulator for Atari 5200 and the ROMS list not pulling DB names\biographies. Any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks!

What naming convention are your roms named? I just tested using my no-intro set and the DB info is showing up fine.

Not entirely sure what was going on. I am using my no intro set as well. I was prompted for the update 3 times and I am thinking that the DB may not have loaded correctly. I did a reboot of my PC and then was prompted for the update - accepted the update, then went back into the 5200 games and the biography option showed in the command bar and when selecting a game. Guess I'll chalk this up to being cache-strapped... rolleyes.gif

That darn cache. LOL. ;)

Glad you got it sorted out though.

Just when I thought it was safe to go into the water.... now my sounds (launch, focus, select, etc.) are no longer working. Sounds within the games avi snaps and games themselves are working just fine. blink.gif Time to trash the cache one more time...

Well, no luck so far restoring the Sound FX. Confirmed it is enabled, get sounds with everything else but GameEx sound FX (get games, jukebox, etc just fine). Total weirdnes...unsure.gif

The initial issue with MESS was resolved. In addition to battling with the GameEx cache for control of my images, there were some minor path issues that needed to be resolved within MESS (when you move something, be sure to map to the new location... sigh).

The sound issue was continued under another thread. This cropped up after upgrade, but turned out to just be coincidental (I had a bad wav file. It would play in WMP and WinAmp, but not in GameEx. After I determined the suspect wav, I renamed it, replaced it with another of the same name, then loaded GameEx - issue resolved!
