gameex changing wallpaper theme.....

Hi all,new user here.first off I must express my thanks to the developers of this fine software,it was recomended by a friend and I must say how awesome it is.that being said I have only one strange issue occuring.whenever I minimize gameex,it changes my wallpaper to a plain black background.it actually creates a new wallpaper theme...has anyone else had this issue?if so,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....thanks in advance....M

Perhaps it's the Hide Desktop setting found in Display Settings? If set to Yes then it could behave this way.

Thank you,also I have one other ?,I didnt want to clog the board with one question posts.....Im assuming video snaps are part of the full version..? if not,Im not sure what im doing incorrectly....

I didn't see it mentioned in the settings that video snaps are a registered feature. That being said, it should work by setting the path for the emulator. Also required would be a codec to handle the files being played correctly. The most recommended one here at GameEx Forums is the Shark007 pack. What kind of problems were you having?

You can find the Shark007 codec packs here. If you are running 64-bit Windows 7, be sure to get the x64 pack as well.

i can play the video's if i actually go to the folder and play one.and i do have the path set in mame setings to where they are...um yea its kinda confusing I will try installing the codecs

What application is playing them? Do the video names match the rom names?

names match as well....should i not have a path configured to the static snaps?everything esle works fine,artwork,static snaps,tiles,etc...

aha success!!! the problem was that the vids's were put in alphabetical sub folders....thanks to all who responded!

on a side note I really must compliment the author(s)of this software.it was recommended to me by a friend in the PD community....and he was correct,it does rock!!!
