I cannot see Daphne when I add it

Where will Daphne show up when I add it to Gameex? I just don't see it. I'm testing it with like one game right now and

it's nowhere in GameEX when I enable it in the setup menu.

Edit: I found it but keep getting Bad Command line when i try to launch a game...any HELP!!!

I tink if I recall GameEx does some checks to make sure paths etc are correct before deciding to show it, but it shoul appear under emulated games by default.

Bad command line or initialization problem (see daphne_log.txt for details).

To run DAPHNE, you must specify which game to run and which laserdisc player you are using.

For example, try 'daphne lair noldp' to run Dragon's Lair in testing mode.

My thought process is if someone is running a true multi-arcade system and not emulating the consoles and handhelds, having the Arcade emus such as Daphne, WinKawaks, etc. as selectable options to show on the Start Menu after MAME instead of limted to Emulated Games would provide another layer of flexibiltiy and control of what is displayed, ease of use, cab-friendlier for those not wanting all the toys that GameEx has to offer.

I'll run with this one too. Have it integrated with the MAME games almost the same way Zinc and Model 2 do with MAME. So all the laserdisc games show in your MAME list. Nice and clean, no need to look in emulators for an arcade laser game.

So you have Daphne running outside of GameEx, correct? I could do a step by step setup but I actually found the pdf that has the entire steps right off the GameEx.net site. I'll post it here for you.

Thanks Celly but I've looked at those instructions but I can't get any games to launch(after I click it), that's why I posted that Daphne Log file. Here is the Setup screenshot, I might be missing something. I'm only trying to

get one game to work and then work off that for the rest.

1. I have all my Video/Frame files in the VLP folder.

2. I've enabled Laserdisk in the gameex setup.(it appears under emulators screen though)

3.I've enabled command line to start the game in the daphne loader then copy that command to the game setup options.

Celly - thanks again, I had missed a few steps and the pdf definitely helped to get my collection up and running through GameEx! Off topic, have made a few changes and tweaks to the Carbon & Steel theme (background and foreground changes, custom menus, etc) and will likely be sharing shortly for you to review. I am curous, however, if I create custom menus, will the layout, etc. be packaged with the theme or just on my machine?
