Automatic creation of .sav files when exiting VisualBoyAdvance

Has anyone else come across this, and have any idea how to disable the automatic creation of .sav files when exiting back into GameEx from VisualBoyAdvance? I've tried to disable the game saves, mapped "GS" to a key that I know is not being pressed, set GameEx to run alt+f4 when exiting, changed the game save directory to a separate directory... but no matter what it seems that when I press escape to go back into GameEx, VisualBoyAdvance is creating a .sav file in my rom directory (this doesn't happen if I press escape when loading VisualBoyAdvance by itself. This is a problem as the next time I open GameEx, it is recognizing these .sav files as a game that it should attempt to run and so I have multiple entries for a game (only one of which will actually load the game).

Try to disabling the map keys setting for the emulator config.

actually, I seem to have been wrong. this is happening directly from visualboyadvance.... whether I file->close, file->exit, or alt+F4, visualboyadvance is creating this .sav file for me :-/ with or without gameex

ugh... it doesn't appear to happen with every game either... some of them do this, and some of them don't. But the ones that do, do it every time.

Maybe there's a way for GameEx to ignore .sav files when it's looking to populate the menu?

Ok, problem solved. Added the *.zip* filter into the config so that these .sav files are irrelevant.
