MadCatz TE not configuring with mame

Hello all,

hopefully someone can help. ive browsed many forums on getting my 360 TE stick to work on MAME so i could play KI. can anyone please shoot me step by step instructions to get this to work. Ive searched everywhere to no avail. please help

If the stick is recognized by Windows, you just need to map the controls in MAME. Once in the game, hit TAB and set up the controls that you need.

If Windows doesn't recognize the controller, you will need to get that straightened out first.

im not seeing the option to map in mame. i see the in game one with tab but not the mame one

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but if you load the game in MAME and press TAB, you are ready to map the controls. Are you asking about mapping outside of MAME?

Hi - I just "googled about" and found some additional references to your stick and Mame:

It seems that there are some that are able to use it but not without some trickery. In order for members in this forum that have used the same stick, it may be helpful to let them know a few things

- What OS you are using?

- What version of MAME are you using?

- Are you attempting to use it through a Front End (GameEx, Hyperspin, Mala, Mamewah)?

- Have you attempted it using a game stick mapper (Xpadder, Joy-to-Key, etc.)?

Hope this helps guide you a bit so that the community can lend a hand if possible. We have a great bunch here with lots of experience.
