Hi,

New user here. So far I am loving GameEx!

Question -- on the MAME list, there are many game lists, such as Vector games, MAWS Hall of Fame, etc. Is it possible for me to create my own?

I know there is a "favorites" list on the main page. But I was hoping to create even more lists that could go here.

I read elsewhere on the forum something about GameEx supporting MAME32 .ini favorites files. Is that what I need? If so, how would I create one?

Thanks for any help!

I am building an Ikari warriors mame game with rotary joysticks and I would like to create a custom list with all rotary games. I would really like such a feature, is there a way to make custom lists? Also, does anyone have a list of all of the rotary games that were made? Thanks in advance!

Yes, of course you can build custom lists with GameEx. As alnyden read, you can create a MAME32 formatted custom folder. Put that file and any other custom list files in directory with no other files in it (e.g., c:\mame\customfolders). Then, point GameEx's "Custom Folder Path" to that directory. When done, rebuild your MAME list and it should show up in the root of your MAME games list as whatever you called the MAME32 custom folder.

What's the best way to create those files? I started to set favorites in Mame32 but couldn't find it's favorites file anywhere. Is there any software to create these .ini files?

Thanks again,

Rich
