Hi Tom, I am very interested in shelling gameex and was wondering if you knew a way to get drivers that normally load when explorer starts to load? I have a d-link wireless card and a guncon driver that don't load when gameex is the shell but as soon as you launch explorer after exiting gameex, they load up.

Thanks!

When using Exlorer as the shell it loads items set to 'run' in the registry.

Download Startup Control Panel by Mike Linn:

http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

Make a batch file with the programs that are set to start with windows based on what that finds.

Then set the batch file to run when GameEx starts up.

That should do it.

i've the same Problem - e.g. Some Application only start if explorer runs as SHELL

solved:

regkey: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell

set to: "explorer.exe c:\Program Files\GameEx\Launch.bat"

--->note: between explorer.exe and Launch.bat is a blank (no , or ; )

In GameEx-config set the following:

Tweak/Performance--> Launch on Startup: taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe

Launch on Exit: explorer.exe

Don't know how long your explorer.exe need to start up - try&error with the sleep.exe command in Launch.bat
