Can't get Virtual Clone drive to mount TG16-CD images

Hiya!

I am having issues with Virtual Clone Drive. I even updated to the last 5.4.4.0 official version from Elaborate Bytes. It cannot load TG16-CD images! How do you people do it? I am running win7 , and even if I manually load the bin/cue windows cannot recognize it.... I tried the same image with Daemon Tools and it works perfect with Magic Engine (that I have registered too many years ago...) when I manually load the game outside GameEx...

Maybe it is a Virtual Clone drive issue? Is there an option to switch to using Daemon Tools?

Dont qutoe me, but I believe virtual clone drive only works with ISO images.

That said, you CAN use daemontools. In the launch before jsut use the command to mount an ISO, and the part where you would put your path and file name replace it with "[rompath]\[romfile]"

Example: daemon.exe -mount 0,"[rompath]\[romfile]".

Then in your command just specify PCE.EXE syscard3 (or whatever your using) make sure your PCE config file is looking at the drive letter of your virtual drive.

All should be golden.

You will find that other CD based system emulators like SSF for saturn also would work very similar.

I also found out that you need (naturally) to use the " " in the DT command line... mine were those :

launch before: "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

launch after: "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0

That's the quote from the website but there is a problem with those type of images. I found the discussion here for reference. Best to use Daemon Tools for that system. But VirtualClone Drive does support those image types. It has something to do with the way those images are ripped. This was one the reasons I switched to mednafen for that system to avoid these issues.
