Here's a start. Also browse the FAQ's as they are helpful. Try getting something going and then post when you have a problem so we can help you. GameEx has so many features and settings that it's hard just to give support without a starting point. Try setting up a system and we'll help if you get stuck. Welcome to GameEx.

You may also want to make sure that you are able to get an emulator working and loading and familiar with the paths in the emulator first. If you are trying to get the emulator working and making it work in GameEx at the same time, you will set yourself up for added confusion. My first emulator to setup was MAMEUI32 (or MAMEUI64 if you are using a 64-bit version of Windows). I found it to be one of the easiest to setup with success.

Thanks guys for responding..... My problem I believe is the command path and the Rom filter. I dont know what to put for each system. Can you pls help me in that area. I know it is the problem because when I verify at the end of system it tells me that these setups are wrong. Can you pls help me what to put for each system. Yes, I do have 64 bit windows 7.

Thank you

Command is not a Path.

Working Path, is simply the location of the emulator. Example: c:\emulators\nintendo64\

Command would be the Executable name, followed by the correct arguments. Example: Project64.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]"

Romfilter, is a filter used to display your roms. If your roms are zipped, your filter would be *.zip . The *. is a wildcard meaning any file name, that shares the extention .zip will be listed. If your rom files have the extention .NES then your filter would be *.nes

You have a ROMPATH that specifys the folder gameex looks in to determine your romlist, you can have many diffrent file types in that path, so to keep your list concise you use a filter, to only show what you want to see.

In CD based games, you can have BIN+CUE ISO+MP3 etc... You do not want to list all the files, perhaps just the CUE files, as they point to the BIN file. You filter would be *.cue

Anyways, if you understand a little DOS it does a long way. I hope this helps

Brain Thanks for the help..... so far so good with the one of the roms that was zip but most of my games are compressed (zipped) folder, which I believe is the problem. Would you give me the way to config these games. Also, when I was playing around with the configurations I accidently messed around with the display. Now the screen is small and dont know how to place it full screen. Reminder you that Im using my lcd T.V. as my monitor.

Thanks

Okay,

What emulator are your trying to setup?

What format are your roms in? You mentioned ZIP, but there are many variations of ZIP,RAR,7ZIP etc...

If you are unsure, open a command prompt, navigate to your rom directory and type "DIR" without quotes.

What is the file extension? The 2 or 3 letters following the "."

If this seems foreign to you, perhaps we can meet up online at the same time for more real-time troubleshooting.

The problem is your are not really providing enough information for people to really help you. You are not providing the information because you probably do not understand what is and is not important.

We were all emulation n00bs once. Be patient and you can learn very much.

Brain thanks for understanding that Im a neebie at this. I been trying to put all emulators on gameex. The first ones Im trying to put on first though is Nintendo 64, sega and Nintendo. The idea you had about meeting up at the sametime here sounds awesome. Let me know when you can get on so that I could too and you could help me better.

Thanks Brain again and all Gameex staff you guys are great.
