Scroll through roms faster

It would be nice if there was a button that you could press to scroll through the roms faster or even a search but since Im using this with an arcade cab how about a button you press that goes through the alpha bet so if i hit the button once I get all the roms that start with a I hit it again I get the roms that start with b and so on.

This already exists. Press and hold your fire button and push the joystick right while still holding the button. Right will take you to the next letter and left will take you back one letter.

Not fire button, but "shift" button. Or does holding the "select" button i.e. fire button work as well, when continously held? (By "shift" I mean the button that when pressed and held in conjunction with moving the joystick up/down lets you jump ahead 10 titles at a time).

And you have to have the alpha-something option enabled in the "Input"-section of configuration.

Fire button and left right on joystick toggles alphabetically. Your method toggles by every ten titles. Both work...

how about an option to modulate scroll speed according to how long you hold up/down direction down. this is normally how media nav apps handle this

Sounds like a good idea to me
