how to display snaps in gameex

can't quite figure out what i'm doing wrong. i've used the setup wizard to point directly to my snaps and icons directory, but nothing is showing up in the gameex gui mame directory snap-wise.

do i need to unzip the file or something?

they work just fine with mameui, just not in gameex

edit: crap. just read the fine print, and zip files are not supported. sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Yes, they need to be unzipped for GameEx. Unlike MAMEUI GameEx is a realtime interface, and they need to be unzipped for performance reasons.
