question about donating

just discovered this this frontend two days ago and have fallen in love with it.

when i donate the $25 to update to the 'registered' version, will that version work on two computers at once?

i'd love to have it running on both my laptop and my home pc

would an additional $25 required for such a setup?

This has been discussed in the past and there might even be info in the FAQ about it. Basically, the license is good for one computer, but it's intended for personal use. As such, there is nothing stopping you from using it on more than one computer you own. This system is based on trust that the user won't abuse this and share the license with others. Should that happen, Tom has stated that things will have to change.

That being said, there is no *requirement* that you pay for more than one license. There are people here that only use one copy on a single computer that have donated multiple times. What I'm getting at is that you only have to pay once, just do the right thing and don't abuse the system.

thanx for the reply. i have to say that i really appreciate this 'trust only' policy. i am so much more inclined to donate to a software developer when it respects its user. paying for this software is a positive experience, and doesn't at all feel like i'm being swindled or punished, as i have felt before when purchasing software only to discover that it had been laced with intrusive drm software.
