NEWS: GameEx 10.37 Released

22nd January, 2010 - GameEx 10.37

- Fixes logo drop down selection not updating in Setup Wizard

- Fixes error when using the MAME emu map feature with certain MAME versions

- Fixes parameters not working when using Also Launch with an emulator

- Development has been moved to visual studio 2008 from 2005. Not really relevant apart from the fact the executable is a little smaller and therefore might perform a bit better.

My GameEx 10.36 autoupdated to GameEx 10.37 today after i plugged in the lan cable to the cabinet PC and the GameEx default language changed to italian.

Same thing happened to me when updating from 10.34 to 10.36.

I have no clue why this happens: using Windows7 Tiny7 rev01, operating system is in english.

It basis the language on "locale" and it works fine for me. Thats all I know! I cant really consider it a bug and investigate further since your using an unnofficial windows build, and I dont know if thats whats causing the issue.

Edit: what is your "System Locale" set at?

Hi Tom and thanks for the reply: the OS comes only with english as a locale, other languages are removed.

There was another guy with the very same prob here, i dont think he is using the same stripped OS as me http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=7967

I can live with this quirk, if it is cos of my choice of OS.

Yeah, Ive seen the issue pop up a few times. Dont really know what I can do. I've run GameEx on just about everything and never had the issue.

Dudes... Now that you mention it...

When the screensaver runs all my info on the bezel GameEx fabricates is in italian now! Why would that be?

I thought I was losing my mind but that's just too much of a coincidence.

I realise you may be joking, but actually that could happen as I believe the maintainers of catver now are based in Italy, and I guess the italian version could be used by mistake.

No joke actually. Any way I could fix this? Is it just my catver.ini that needs replacing?

I believe that the english version of catver.ini is now called catveren.ini.
