IMPORTANT !! Custom Keyboard input will not be saved !!

Hello there,

I have again a strange problem with gameex 10.35. It will not save my custom keyboard input for

1. Volume control key -> I mapped it to "W"

2. Page control key -> I mapped it to "[sPACE]"

...so I can not use my cab now !! What I did :

1. Start GameEx config wizard

2. I go to "Keyboard Input"

3. "Enable custom keyboard : YES"

4. Volume control key -> I mapped it to "W"

5. Page control key -> I mapped it to "[sPACE]"

6. I click on "Exit"

7. I start GameEx

Mappings are WRONG !! Volume control is "D" and not "W" and Paging is "C" and not "[sPACE]. All other changes are ok and working. Its only these 2 buttons.

But when I again go into the setup wizard, he tells me that e.g. volume control is "W"...but only for the first time ! When I check again the settings in the configuration wizard, he changed it back to "D" for volume control and "C" for paging...

So, the problem is that he will not use my custom key mappings...

Please help ! I am just writing an MAME installation manual for gameex and I am nearly finished and thats the last problem, so PLEASE have a loom at this problem or give me a workaround...

Ok, the bug still exists but I found a workaround : You have to directly edit the custominput.ini file :

1. Start Windows Explorer

2. Go into the Gamex directory\Config

3. Directly edit the custominput.ini file

To get the code of the buttons, use scancodes.txt

...but that bug should be fixed...

What OS are you using? it should save from within the program, if it isn't it could be related to Vista or 7's UAC, are you running the program as administrator? Some more details could help.
