I have a 21GB music library and I am using file tag mode. I've noticed that some titles that are present in Windows Media Player are not showing up in the GameEx Jukebox. I can't figure out why. On one album, about half the songs are missing in GameEx.

Do I need to rebuild my file tag index? If so, how do I do that?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Is it a certain file extension thats missing?

To delete the cache delete the following files in the data folder:

JukeboxData.dat

JukeboxFiles.dat

JukeboxLastModifiedCache.dat

Thank you.

The files are all .WMA files (both songs that are present and those that are missing).

I did try deleting those three files and allowing GameEx to regenerate the list however it did not resolve the problem.

I can see no pattern to what songs are missing. For example, an album may have tracks 1,2,5,7 and 8 available in the jukebox and tracks 3,4,6,9 and 10 are missing (although they are present and can be played directly through Windows Media Player).

This may be a long shot, but is it possible that the missing files have some non-standard characters in the file names? I remember reading a few posts suggesting that some characters cause problems in GameEx (at least in older versions).

Thank you for the suggestion. GameEx is handling the special characters just fine. Turns out that my problem was that there was an additional artist listed on the songs that were not showing up... and I was searching based on Artist/Album. Once I just searched by Album all was fine!
