  1. I am trying to set up a menu option to launch an external application (Windows Media Player). I set up application 4 in the GameEx configuration program with the appropriate command and I have also set up the menu choice in the custom menu editor. When I launch GameEx, the new menu option is grayed out and does not do anything. Thank you for your help!
  2. Thank you for the suggestion. GameEx is handling the special characters just fine. Turns out that my problem was that there was an additional artist listed on the songs that were not showing up... and I was searching based on Artist/Album. Once I just searched by Album all was fine!
  3. Thank you. The files are all .WMA files (both songs that are present and those that are missing). I did try deleting those three files and allowing GameEx to regenerate the list however it did not resolve the problem. I can see no pattern to what songs are missing. For example, an album may have tracks 1,2,5,7 and 8 available in the jukebox and tracks 3,4,6,9 and 10 are missing (although they are present and can be played directly through Windows Media Player).
  4. I have a 21GB music library and I am using file tag mode. I've noticed that some titles that are present in Windows Media Player are not showing up in the GameEx Jukebox. I can't figure out why. On one album, about half the songs are missing in GameEx. Do I need to rebuild my file tag index? If so, how do I do that? Any suggestions are appreciated!
  5. I am attempting to get an html application to work with GameEx and have not had much success! I have enabled it in the GameEx configuration program and specified the web address (http://weather.yahoo.com/united-states/tennessee/gatlinburg-2409305/). I've also added a menu choice using the custom menu tool. When I attempt to launch it, it tries to run and then throws the log information contained in the attached file. I did just update DirectX to the latest available version with no success. Thank you for your help!log.txt
  6. A while back I set up GameEx to display only my favorite MAME games. Now I would like to add one additional game and I can't figure out how to do it! I remember at one time having a list of all MAME games from which I selected my favorites. I subsequently suppressed the display of the full list. Now, I guess I need to get it back temporarily so that I can select the new favorite game. Any help is appreciated.
  7. I would like the pc in my arcade cabinet to automatically enter Windows Suspend mode after 30 minutes of inactivity. I have set it to do so in Control Panel and it works fine.... so long as GameEx is not running. If I have GameEx running, the PC never suspends. Is there some way that I can set this up?
  8. I have been playing around a bit with the radio functionality and would like to know if it is possible to simply have a list of stations and when one is selected it begins playing. Right now, it brings up a "submenu" with two options - "Playstation" and "Remove From Favorite". I don't want to allow removal of any stations from the list that I set up. Your assistance is appreciated.
  9. OK. I think I fixed it. My rom directory name had a space in it and apparently that caused my issue.
  10. I can't seem to find this batch file. I just installed the latest version of GameEx today. Thank you!
  11. Several of my MAME games (Sonic the Hedgehog, Tetris Grand Master) show up fine in my MAME game list however when I try to launch them, they appear to begin loading but then return back to the MAME menu. I am using MAME 0.135 which I believe is the latest. I have tried: - Removing command line options - Bypassing disclaimers and warnings - Matching my Windows screen resolution to GameEx (800x600) - Making sure that GameEx is set to Full screen The games run fine in Mameui32. Any help is appreciated!
  12. Thank you for the speedy response. Forgive me for asking what is probably a silly question, but how do I go about setting up a favorites list? Thank you!
  13. I am new to Gamex and am having a bit of trouble. What I would like to do is use the standard interface (not in Gamelauncher mode) to simply display a list of about 50 of my favorite classic arcade games. I don't want to have to make any selections to get to this list; it should be the default list when Gamex loads. Can someone please offer some pointers? Thank you!!
