Why is it that when I update the mame rom list it does all the games when all I want it to show is the roms I've added that I can play? It shows over 1000 games on there when I only have little over 200 roms? I did download a lot of artwork for all mame games is that why?

There are filters that you can turn on that will tell GameEx what games to display. If you have them all turned off and you are running a current version of MAME, you will see over 6000 games. If you turn off the filter which checks to see if you have the rom files (verify roms I think), you could have no rom files and show all 6000+ in your list.

'Only Existing Roms' is the name of the filter that Bkenobi is refering to. Advanced Mame Settings (2).
