Just noticed MAME32 v102 is out

Has anyone tried this with GameEx?

Is it stable and compatible?

Does it change any of your current settings?

will i need to upload the roms list (using UPDATE LIST) after upgrading MAME though?

You have to update the list to add games. Updating Mame32 dosn't update your roms does it? They are separate things.

I think he's thinking of MAME32+ . It has additional games. Hacks and so on.

actually it doesnt work - updated to mame32 v102

updated list on gameex menu

and now the games go to oad, screen goes blank then it just goes back to the mame menu???

any idea's?

You canno't have -skip_disclaimer, -skip_gameinfo or -skip_validitychecks in the MameOptions= parameter in GameEx.ini anymore. If you do it will not launch properly. I use the latest version of Mame32 and it works fine for me, just compile your own version which skips the disclaimer automatically, or use the Bypass Disclaimer/Warning option in GameEx setup.

i removed them in version 101, i think i have found out the problem.

i couldn't run any games in mame32 direct either so played about with the settings (the stuff i changed since v101 anyway)

and it appears my controller config file was making the games not run - converted back to my old one and its fine -

so note to everyone that these config (controller) files can stop mame working..

now how am i going to add my 2nd xbox controller to it???

I was hoping to get all ym emus tested and working by thr weekend and uploading them and their config (controller) files so everyone can use my vast (LOL) knowledge...

you have to download the changed/new roms from 101 to 102

im just gona wait for till advancemame 102 comes out i like that one the best

What's so good about advancemame? I use mame32fx mainly cos it has some audio tweaks and various driver fixes.

its good cuz u can change the resolution of the game while playing same with the filters and many othere things
