GameEx bezel/info not showing in attract mode

Hey guys, I'm having a strange problem that I can't seem to figure. During attract mode everything works perfectly except it doesn't display the info that shows the game info and marquee and the bezel for vertical games. Any ideas? Thanks!

One thing to verify is that you are using the standard MAME. If you are using the AdvanceMAME setup, it will not use the GameEx attract artwork.

The other thing I know of, is this feature does not work when using ArcadeVGA mode due to it not being able to display the bezel at those low reses. Maybe that got turned on accidently?

In addition GameEx may not be able to detect the mame version if your using something not norm.

Arcade VGA settings is set to no. I do have Display title (Arcade mode) set to enabled though I've always used this and it's displayed the info before. Kind of strange. Any other ideas? Maybe it is Mameui?

You could always throw a standard build of MAME on there to see if it helps. If not, you know that's not the problem.

Tried an offical build of Mame and that seemed to have fixed it thanks for the suggestion! Maybe this will help someone else? Btw this feature doesn't work with say Zsnes etc.. does it?

Nope, it only is available for MAME. It will not work for MAME roms that are emulated with other systems either, just MAME.
