Hi all, i installed a windows 7 in a second partition of my hard disk, and want to export all my configs from my gameex on vista installation to export to windows 7.

How can i export ALL configs of my emulators, etc... and import it in a fresh install of Gameex?

Thanks in advance.

As far as im aware just copy your gameex folder X:\Program Files\GameEx to your new partition x:\Program Files (x being your drive letter) and download the gameex program again and install it .it should not overwrite any of your configs ,you may have to change the paths of you emulators , roms ..and so on .I havnt tried windows 7 yet but dont think it will much different to vista , correct me if im wrong...

Yup, the easiest way is to just access the same drive that holds you install and tell the GameEx installer to work from there. Since it shouldn't overwrite any of your setting, you should be good to go with no changes. Of course, I would highly recommend backing up the directory first just in case something goes wrong. I know Tom's worked with Win7 a bit, but I'm not sure he's found everything that might need addressing. It's better to have a backup than it is to be forced to redo everything.

Thanks for your answers, but how i "tell" GameEx installer to work from here in Windows 7? What do you mean it's to install Gammex in Windows 7 in the same folder that i have installed in Vista? It's that correct?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah. Basically, download the installer and run it from Windows 7. When it asks for the installation path, point to the current installation. The only thing you need to be careful of is drive letters. If you have a new partition for Win7 that has different drive letters than you have in WinXP (or whatever your other OS is), then GameEx will probably get confused where things are located. If that's the case, then you probably just want to copy the GameEx directory to another location and install there for Win7.
