I'm connecting my laptop to my plasma tv and I can't get it to fit the tv properly. Both are wide screen and it shows perfect on the laptop. On the Tv it cuts off the bottom of the computer monitor screen.(does this with the desktop and Gameex) What am I doing wrong. Also what theme is everone using for GameEx when using as a Home theater. I'm running my laptop thru a converter that plugs in from the laptop monitor out to a box that connverts it to a s-video.

I think this is because s-video is not hi def. You need to connect your laptop to your computer with a vga cable or if it has dvi or hdmi use that. Also your gameex theme should be set up to use a high definition resolution. For example 1080i is 1920x1080. I don't think any themes use this resolution so it will not fit the screen completely.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Yes, probably because your using S-Video, in which case theres no point running GameEx or windows above a resolution of 800 x 600.

However if t was connected via HDMI or DVI GameEx should look very slick with most themes. GameEx generally supports Hi-Def TV's very well.

Thanks for your replys everyone.

I'll check to see if i can connect with something besides s-video.

I am running it at 800 by 600. Where do I turn off zoom and set it to wide ?.

depends on your video card

if you have an older nvidia card try using tvtool! it gives you an easy interface to change you tv out options!

if your gameex theme is 800x600 it will be stretched if you want it to fit your whole HD tv screen. Otherwise it should be in a box more or less with black bars on the left and right side to preserve the aspect ratio. Most TVs have a WIDE/ZOOM button on the remote

Ok

Getting closer. Bought me a HDMI cable and looks alot better. I can change my TV and get different sizes. Appears the problem is that in GameEx when I play a video the aspect says zoomed. Just need to find that in how to change that in config and I should be good to go.
