I've never attempted to play or get any playstation, saturn or dreamcast emulators/roms.. but i'm curious as to how they work? once it's set up do they work just the same in gameex as all the other emulators? just select the game from a list? i know they are a bit harder to set up as far as games go but information online seems all over the place so i figured you guys would know best. :)

Also what kind of machine should i be using if i want to run those games? from what i understand emulated games are mostly CPU intensive and don't rely much on your video card.

They work just like any other emulator and rom except your dealing with cd images (.cue .bin, .iso, .cdi or any other variation) instead of roms. from my experience saturn emulation with SSF is pretty rock solid, not many video options but it runs fullscreen and fast.

Every game I have thrown at ePSXe has worked without a hiccup. with these emulators you will need a way to mount your game cd images because they dont natively support loading .cue .mds and so forth. thats pretty much the only difference. this is easy, if you need help with it let me know.

for info on what type of pc would be good for these check out this topic: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=7332

MAME doesnt take advantage of the GPU (graphics card). Others do. Naomi,Dreamcast,Nintendo 64, psx,psx2, gamecube ,Wii, atomis wave (yes the one atomis wave game) all use emus use pixel shader 2 or 3 and need the latest direct X and video card hardware.
