Okay... so I might as well just jump right into this. I can't get nulldc to load from gameex. I just get a blank screen and have to escape back to gameex.

Also, I have setup the cfg file for nulldc 1.03 to show settings that have been posted here before, but once I run it nulldc crashes.

The settings I borrowed are posted here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...7&hl=nulldc

Here is the command line that I am sending to nulldc from gameex:

"nullDC_1.0.3_mmu.exe" -config ImageReader:DefaultImage="[rompath]/[romfile]"

Let me know if there is something I am missing. BTW, all of my roms are *.gdi

Also, it would be amazing if someone could package up their nulldc folder (without the bios files of course) and place it on here.

Thanks ahead of time!

Try:

nullDC_1.0.3_mmu.exe -config ImageReader:DefaultImage="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

If that doesn't work then please post your config so we can see other settings that may be conflicting.

Thanks again! You were a big help on the other two posts.

I can't get any type of controller working with 1.0.3.

gamepad support got lost in 1.03, we'll have to wait until 1.04.. or use xpadder ;)

There's 4 settings that I would change in your nulldc config file:

Fullscreen.Enabled=1
Emulator.AutoStart=1
Emulator.NoConsole=1
LoadDefaultImage=1

Now nulldc crashes every time I try to play something from Gameex.

Does anyone have a nice zipped package of this working to share?

Thanks

Well usually we try not to distribute emulators on the forum. By this time your NullDC.cfg file needs to be deleted. Then run nulldc no mmu again. That will create a fresh un-tainted config. Make the changes frequency suggested. Then it should work. If it doesn't I suppose I can zip mine up.

Please try it first though.

I replaced the config and nulldc started just fine when I opened the nulldc no mmu manually. However, as soon as I started to run it through GameEx it crashes.

Looking at my emulator config file above, do you think that everything looks in order?

Thanks a ton for everyone's help!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also changed the settings like frequency suggested before testing, and nulldc started fine.

Does anyone have any ideas why nulldc still crashes on me?

Can someone post up their settings?

Thanks

D:

CD "D:\Games\Emulators\nullDC_103"

nulldc_1.0.3_nommu.exe -config imagereader:defaultimage="Crazy Taxi v1.004 (1999)(Sega)(NTSC)(US)[!][6S 51035].gdi"

That is what is being sent to nulldc, but it opens nulldc and I can see it. But then it crashes with the "Send" or "Don't Send" message to Microsoft.

Any ideas?

Playing with a few settings, when I set the Autostart = 0... it will start the emulator but it won't start the game with GameEx.

I think it may be an issue with my config file.

GameEx can still start the emulator with Autostart=0, but I have to manually boot it. When I try "Normal Boot," then it still crashes.

Should I change these to anything?

[imageReader]

PatchRegion=0

LoadDefaultImage=1

DefaultImage=defualt.gdi

LastImage=c:\game.gdi

DefaultImage or LastImage maybe?

I was having crashing issues too. I don't have all the settings in my config file as I don't have access to my system at the moment. I'll upload my cfg when I have access to my system. However, I think I was able to resolve the crashing issue by setting the full screen resolution to 640 X 480. Try:

Fullscreen.Res_X=640

Fullscreen.Res_Y=480

Also There was another issue which may be specific to Windows vista. I had to copy the D3DX9_37.dll to the nulldc directory. I don't remember where I got the dll from but it resolved a direct 3d error that was happening when launching nulldc. finally there was another change I had to make to resolve an issue with the sound being choppy:

[nullAica]

BufferSize=2048

Hope this resolves the issues
