Hello everyone.

I just came acrossed a full collection of NeoGeo CDs and Sega Saturn USA discs, and I was wondering which emulators are best suited to run in GameEx? Do I need wrappers or anything? How many games run on the emulators? What's the level of difficulty installing them? Can I use the image drive built into GameEx, or will I need Daemonstools? I don't have much experience running games from CDs other than Windows games (I don't use Chankast because I still have a Dreamcast), and I use pSX so don't typically run CDs for PSX games. Consider me a noob on the subject, so any and all help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Not trying to get too far off-topic here, but the answer to this question may save you some work. Can someone answer this first: Assuming someone has a MAME collection, is it worth getting NeoGeo CD games? Are they any different / better than the NeoGeo games in the MAME set ?

For Saturn, SSF emulator is regularly updated and seems like the best one available for that system. No wrappers typically required. It doesn't mount the CD images so you will need to use either Daemon Tools or the built in CD image support in GameEx. In my Saturn config I use Daemon Tools light as it was configured before the built in CD mount feature was implemented in GameEx. However, the built in CD mount support should work and would simplify the configuration.

I personally use SSF for Sega Saturn and Nebula for Neo-Geo CD. To each his\her own though. I use the integrated virtual drive feature for both so no need for daemon tools on these particular emulators.
