cancel ui using mouse button?

I modified a trackball with a mouse hack. I have also set the 3 mouse buttons to be used as buttons on my cabinet. How can I set one of these buttons to escape a game back to gameex? I tried loading a game up and clicked in the ui settings but the button is not recognized..

I assume you are asking about MAME? If so, go to the General Tab and find "UI Cancel". Set that to whatever you want to use to exit.
