well everytime i load it up it shows the loading screen it doesnt show the nag  screen any more

It should show under every other time you load, randomly, and for a bit longer. I did take Smiffs advice.

I think if you load it a several times you should see it. Please let me know if its not working though.

Thanks.

I am now seeing it every time and seeing it for longer. it doesnt bother me because I turn it on and walk away then come back to play. I almost had to switch to a different front end because of my last issues but will stick with it and have decided to donate which I will do tomoorrow.

What happens if you install GameEx as a MCE plugin in Windows XP? Is that the same as installing GameEx just for games? Or will it not work? I only use GameEx for MAME, so I feel that I don't "need" to see that nag screen any more than people using MCE. ;)

It does not affect the nag screen. Sorry, but I bet you spent more on lunch than 15 bucks last week :P I'll say it again $15.00 is like 8 bucks to me being in the UK, I dont know of any comparable software that cheap on the planet. Tell me if I'm wrong on that though :P

Only thing in addition it does than 'just for games', is change the theme to the MCE theme, disable the startup logo, standby, shutdown, and all MAME lists other than all games.

I was referring to this: "New installation option to setup only as an MCE MAME Plugin, like original versions of GameEx (eg. V1.x), but with MAME Favorites, most played MAME games, and last played MAME game. This disables a lot of features and configures for the initial GameEx crowd, including removing the startup banner."

I thought that by "Startup banner" you meant donate screen. I guess I was mistaken.

I guess I'll have to skip some lunches soon and register. :)
